New Issue Published: Understanding Disability in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Center on Disability Studies (CDS) at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, College of Education, is pleased to announce the release of an Extended Special Issue of Review of Disability Studies: Understanding Disability in Sub-Saharan Africa. The double issue (pp. 343) is now available at https://rdsjournal.org.
This special issue of the Review of Disability Studies consists of original articles and creative works that take seriously and explore some important aspects of sub-Saharan African perspectives on disability and their impact on understandings of disability and the lived experiences of persons with disabilities in African societies. This special issue focuses on communities in countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe and general understandings of disability. This double issue also contains additional international disability studies research.
And as part of RDS's continued accessibility efforts, all articles are also accompanied by plain language abstracts.
